Hi, The Water Fires in Providence, RI are supposed to be great. On Saturday August 2nd there is also a free Jazz concert going on during the water fires. Would anyone like to go. I live in Walpole and thought it would be a good local to meet and car pool to Providence. I will find the website and post the link here so everyone can check it out. Look forward to hearing from interested parties :) Laura

Someone in Rhode Island expressed interest in our group awhile back. I'll dig up her name and pass on this info.
If not for being up north and having been to this twice already I would be interested... It is very meditative and beautiful; really unique. |

Terri if you are going to post the Water Fires for Sept 13th that would be great, I can go then. What do you think Pam is Sept 13th ok with you? The comuter rail stops in Walpole which is halfway to Providence and I can fit 6 people in my car.

Thanks to Debby for providing these directions (via public transportation) to Cassarino's:
Kennedy Plaza is the main bus station, and across the street from there is a bus stop where you catch the trolley to Federal Hill, the Italian section where Cassarino's is. It's the 92 Green Line Trolley. RIPTA is the public transportation for Providence. They have all the schedules posted online, along with maps. Kennedy Plaza is within walking distance of the Commuter Rail, Mall and Waterfront Park. |
