I'd like Girls About Town to be a social networking tool where Seattle women can have the opportunity to expand their social horizons and perhaps make a friend or two. In traditional meetups, the organizer plans meetups and the members show up. Ideally, I'd like this to be more of a collective meetup where members are responsible for making things happen. Do you have some ideas about fun stuff you'd like to do but can't find anyone to join you? Well here are two things you can do as a member of Girls About Town...
1. Become an assistant organizer and plan a meetup. All that involves is emailing me and I'll click all the necessary keys on the computer to make that happen. Becoming an assistant organizer doesn't mean you're now responsible for planning lots of stuff, it just means you have the tools to plan an event yourself if you feel like it.
2. Send out an email to the group about your idea and see if anyone is interested in joining you. Perhaps via email, folks might manage to get together outside of an "official" meetup. If you want to email the group, go to the Girls About Town main page, go down to where it says "mailing list" and click there. From there, you have the option of emailing the entire mailing list.
So that's Girls About Town in a nutshell...a tool to help women connect with one another and expand their social horizons. Hope you have some fun!
This group doesn't have any additional upcoming Meetups scheduled.
