About 55+ Sassy Senior Ladies-Divorced/Widowed - San Diego County

You should join this group if you are a senior lady who wants to meet new friends and get out and about. We will be posting events all over San Diego County, so if you can't attend one, you may find another one in your area, and hopefully, you will meet ladies in YOUR area and make new friends.

It is IMPERATIVE that you fill out the profile questions as they pertain to you, our group will remain private, so ONLY other members of our group will be able to read it. The reason it is IMPERATIVE that you answer the profile questions if you want to become a member of this group, is that it will help me and your fellow (for lack of a better word, LOL) members to get to know you, and you to get to know us. Also, it will SOON BE REQUIRED of ALL EXISTING MEMBERS, so your membership approval or denial will be dependant on it. As stated on the welcome page, your request to join our group will BE DENIED if you do not fill out the profile questions and submit a recent, recognizeable photo of yourself. These are security issues, as well as helping us to recognize each other at events.

If a photo is a problem for you, EXPLAIN WHY, but usually you can have a friend with a digital camera take one for you and send it to you in an email, then put the picture in a file and then you can add the picture to your application, by following the steps in the request form.

Once you have filled out the profile questions, WITH the recent, recognizeable PHOTO of yourself, submit it for membership. The Organizer will usually approve your membership right away, OR MAY email you to ask more questions if necessary. If your membership is denied because you did not fill out the profile, or submit a photo, you may submit your request again, but be SURE to fill out the profile and submit a photo.

There MAY be a $5 SEMI-ANNUAL (once every 6 months) membership fee, which will take effect for December, but for now your membership is FREE. This is to cover the fee that meetup charges the Organizer (NOT members) to be a part of meetup. Rest assured your membership fee is mainly to help keep our group going, the ORGANIZER MUST pay meetup.com a fee to organize and maintain the groups membership in meetup.com. It is our hope to be able to pay this on a quarterly or semi-annually basis, and as we get more members this should be possible. YOUR membership fee will be ONLY $5 every 6 months, NOT per month. If we grow to a large membership, the fees will go into a fund to pay reservation fees for some of our events. ie tickets to a live performance etc.

We have not set up a PayPal account yet, so have not made a decision about how to receive your membership fee, it might be by check or money order, or we may open a PayPal account.

It is our sincere hope that as you grow in your single life, you will expand your circle of friends through this meetup group and become happy in your alone time as you get to know yourself. Please be SURE to join other groups that apply to your stage in life, ie divorce support, grief support, travel, music, activities you enjoy etc.
