Update:
I picked Le Petit Bistro since it has been ages since I last visited this restaurant. This used to be one of the most French (real French French with French customers and French staff) restaurants in LA where you often hear conversations in French. Food, however, was more Cal-French than authentic French which suited me just fine. Let's check it out and see if they are still as charming as they used to be. Those of you on the waiting list are invited to join me for June 1st Sunday Night Dinner at Cafe Stella. I have already RSVP'd all of you as Yes. Please update your RSVP to No if you cannot make it for June 1st Sunday Night Dinner.

We have done American steakhouse, Italian, Mexican, Japanese... How could I have forgotten French, my favorite food on earth? So, I will host a French Sunday Night Dinner. In general, I am not a fan of fusion food, except when it comes to French food. My favorite is what food industry calls Cal-French, lighter than traditional French food with not really Californian influence but more of Mediterranean influence.

I have not decided on the restaurant yet, depending on the size of the group, weather (one place I have in mind has a fabulous outdoor seating, not patio but in an alley) and when and where I can get the reservation. So, if you love French food, join me for Sunday Night Dinner. I will announce the restaurant later, or I may just keep it a secret till the night before and surprise you.

    Elizabeth, How did you know? Yes, Cafe Stella is one of my favorites and that is where the 2nd French Sunday Nigth Dinner will be held.

    Lorraine,Elizabeth, Naia, Mandy,Kay,Carol,and Karen: 7 of you are invited to join "Sunday Night Dinner - French II" instead of this one. I have decided to have May 18th one at "Le Petit Bistro" and they are little too small for us to have 2 tables of 8. So, if you are interested in I will host another French Sunday Night Dinner on June 1st and give 7 of you the priority RSVP.

    If the event becomes full, please RSVP NO and add "waiting list" as comment. For this event only, I will open a Second Table if there are a lot of "waiting list" requests. I will make the reservation at least 3 weeks in advance and will individually contact you via E-mail to confirm your RSVP before making the final reservation.
