Details
Move Over Dr. Phil and Dr. Ruth....
The well-tailored women in Dr. Pat Allen's Therapeutic Theater flock seem to have it all. Problem is, they've got nobody with whom to share it. They're confused and abused by love.
So they've lined up to hear psychotherapist-author Pat Allen field questions about love, sex and relating every Monday night.
And they get an earful. "Men can't think and feel at the same time," Allen jibes. "So when we're having a good time on a date, we know it right away. Silly us. We think the man's been on the date with us. Truth is, it may take six to eight weeks for him to distill the experience and call us back. It's like a boa constrictor feeding off one mouse for a week."
Allen started her therapeutic shtick in Orange County, California, fifteen years ago and has been gathering a following ever since, using a blend of humor and outrageousness to cut through the psychobabble. Sex without commitment is foolish, she says, though sex for money is okay ? as long as both parties are practical about it.
A relationship doesn't dissolve; it "discombobulates." She calls the penis a "magic wand." And the women (and a sprinkling of men) howl at her frankness.
Live, on stage, in person. See and hear nationally known therapist, author and lecturer Dr. Pat Allen pounce on the question: Have we lost our ability to mate or to relate?

"I waited in front of the theater at 5:45, as suggested in order to walk to a nearby restaurant, but unless I missed something, there was no one else there. I'm very sorry I did not have the opportunity to meet anyone. Once the session got going, I was able to capture information that I believe will help me personally. Thank you for the opportunity to attend this event." -
