Breakfast Club - Square One Dining

Most people who know me know that I like food and restaurants. So, people often ask me what my favorite food is. They expect me to tell them something grand or fancy, so most of them get really surprised when I answer "eggs". What a surprise that I like something as simple as eggs over caviar and champagne! Indeed, I love eggs. I love them fried, scrambled, boiled, baked, poached... and yes, I do love my eggs with caviar. Now, do you want to try to guess what my favorite meal of the day is? Breakfast, of course.

In this series, we will visit all of my favorite breakfast places in LA and may even venture into some new restaurants together. It will be held mostly on Saturdays and occasionally on Sundays, and the start time will be quite early between 9:30 am and 10:30 am. After breakfast, there will be an optional activity such as a visit to a museum, a walk thru J-Town, shopping at K-Town, browsing thru a farmer's market, or a visit to Little India complete with a Bollywood movie.

Food will be mostly American, but occasionally I will do French (how can I resist?) and some ethnic food. You will be surprised what some people eat for breakfast - not in an extreme cuisine kind of way, but in a pleasantly surprising and yummy way.

The first event will be held at "Square One Dining". If you like French Toast and/or Bacon, this is THE place.

Four words of caution for everybody -
1. This restaurant just changed its ownership this week. I wanted to host an event before the change of ownership, but there were some scheduling conflicts and I am one week late. However, they are still getting great reviews, so I think this place is still a winner.
2. There is no valet parking. So, allow some time for street parking.
3. No reservation - So, we will get seated when our table is ready with the parties present at the time of the seating.
4. There is no optional activity after this Breakfast.

As usual, no show policy applies. Cancellation within 48 hours are considered to be No Show.

Due to the size of the restaurant, this event is for 4 members. The next "Breakfast Club" event will be held at "BLD" with a party of 8 with a proper reservation, so please no complaints :-)

I will try to get a patio table. I am hoping for a nice May sunny morning. I know, I know, the "May Gray" in LA. But a woman can dream, can't she?
