We are a new and growing MeetUp and, with the expectation that we will continue to grow and serve SINGLE, MID-LIFE WOMEN in the metropolitan area, we have had to develop some guidelines for the Membership. We ask that you read the guidelines (see FILES) and recognize they are based on the idea that all Members deserve courtesy, respect and consideration, and these are the hallmarks of each and every good friendship.

We are seeking new friends, so let's do it right! Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at the events.

DEFINITION
The Meet-Up is expressly for the woman who is 40 years old or over, who is SINGLE, for whatever reason, and who is looking for a fairly cohesive group of other women who currently share, have experienced, or are about to experience similar life experiences, issues, situations, etc.

We envision a Meet-Up where single mid-life women may
(1) get support or information from each other,
(2) meet new friends and make new social contacts,
(3) participate in or attend together various cultural events, performances, exhibits, etc. in the DC Metro area, and
(4) use the Meet-Up as a clearinghouse to find "buddies" for shared travel; going out to a specific event, restaurant, etc; or hostess/organize an event of her choosing.

This is a Meet-Up where single mid-life women can meet for support, friendship and fun without the intrusion of "solicitation for business" of any kind, and where events are exclusive to single, mid-life women. Men and children are welcome at events when clearly stated in Event Descriptions. The MeetUp group does not accept nor will it post personal ads by men soliciting dates with the Members.
