HELLO POTENTIAL NEW MEMBERS -- IMPORTANT NOTICE.... (original intro far below)
This meetup group will run out on 14th November as I am closing my membership with the meetup site. You may still join up until then if you want to have a a look arund our site. And if you like the past meetup ideas, why not email me as I am going to stay in touch with the core of the members for future shenanigans. So it's basically just the format of the Indie Women meetup that is changing....we are still very much living on the verge :)

Hi, how are you? This group is for women aged around 35+ older... old enough to remember buying records not downloads that is. If you like alternative music and have a knack for underground culture, read on. And if you recognized the Daniel Johnston quote we have to have some kind of bonding ritual XXX

What's on the menu?
Live music gigs, going clubbing, listening to talks or spoken word performances, meeting up to see exhibitions & events of all sorts or a simply get together for a drinkie or two (the infamous gossip sesh)!

The music taste here is varied: Ska, Nothern Soul, Motown, Punk, 50s Rock, Blues, Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Garage Country, Darkwave....etc etc

If you want to enjoy stuff but no one in your circle of friends has the time anymore and you don't wanna go alone - come out with us!
