  •  Hey! Thanks! And hello to you too! :)

  •  I was going to say "I tried that but didn't like it," but I was thinking of Artemis Fowl. Too many YA fantasy books with first and last names. So no, not yet - maybe soon! And if you are interested in Prydain, if I wind up in Austin, I have several copies of the first book so I can loan it to people. The Dark is Rising is more mature and very very good (I recommend reading Over Sea, Under Stone first) and the movie is NOTHING like the books. At all. Changed almost everything :( Like Earthsea.

  •  Hey - since you like His Dark Materials, etc., I have to know - do you like the Dark is Rising books and/or the Prydain Chronicles?

    Lauren L (May 01, 2008 6:03 PM)
  •  Haa haa, it's Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchet's book. It's supposed to be really great. I thought I was the only one hadn't read it yet. :-)

  •  I hear that, I still have to read Good Omens. I think I might take it with me to Mexico, but who knows if I'll end up having time to read there or not.

    Rachel (Apr 29, 2008 2:29 PM)
  •  Sweet, I just put the first one on my amazon wishlist, so I shall read it shortly. :-)

There are only three out for Fablehaven so far, I'm not sure how many he's planning on. But, I can't waaaait! Make him hurry!

    Rachel (Apr 29, 2008 2:25 PM)
  •  I haven't read that, I'll have to check it out, especially now that I've finished all my other books.

I'm utterly in love with the Fablehaven series. I randomly picked it up at Target one day and now I'm waiting impatiently for the guy to write more books. Haa haa.

    Rachel (Apr 29, 2008 2:08 PM)
  •  Have you read Fablehaven?

    Rachel (Apr 29, 2008 2:00 PM)

  •  One of my first and favoriate series is by David Eddings (The Belgariad)...the first book is Pawn of Prophecy. It affected what I looked for in a husband...seriously.

Other lady authors that I like: Mercedes Lackey and Marion Zimmer Bradley (Darkover series).

  •  Just gotta use the right dye. I love dying mine. It really is almost the color in my goofy SouthParkMe picture. I use Garnier Nutrisse. They include this awesome conditioner with fruit oil, and it smells sooooo good. Mine is actually softer and silkier after I dye it. Still, best not to overdo it.

    Monica (Mar 12, 2008 4:54 PM)
  •  Aww. I cut mine short way back and will never go long again. Soooo much easier this way. Of course, mine's all crazy thick and unruly, so this is really best for my sanity. :)

    Monica (Mar 12, 2008 4:48 PM)
  •  Whose hair is that?!

    Monica (Mar 12, 2008 4:38 PM)
  •  Ooh, that does sound good. Dunno how big it'll get, right now we've got 5 maybe 8 people for this first one. I'm sure we'll buy coffee and nummies. :)

    Monica (Mar 11, 2008 11:26 PM)
  •  Welcome! I'm sorry we won't get to see you for the first meetup, but never fear, there will be others... mwahahhaa... I don't know why with the evil cackle... *cough* Anyway! Hi!
